For over twenty years he has been dedicated to educating professionals and the community on the intricacies of elder law.
Mr. Cohen speaks regularly before senior and professional groups including the American Bar Association, the Boston Tax Institute, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education, Harvard Medical School, as well as to health care professionals in hospitals and nursing homes.

Jessica A. Demmerly is a member of the Estate Planning Department. Jessica recently received her Juris Doctor from Rutgers School of Law in Camden, New Jersey, and is awaiting results from the Massachusetts Bar Association. She received her Bachelors of Art in Human Development and Philosophy from Boston College in 2006. While in law school, Jessica served as the Lead New Developments Editor for the Rutgers Journal of Law & Religion, and as President of the Health Law Society. Jessica was also a Teaching Assistant for both the first year Legal Analysis, Writing & Research course, as well as for Estate Planning I. Jessica interned at Pabian & Russell, LLC during both of her law school summers.

She has extensive experience in residential and commercial real estate transactions, including purchase and sale agreements, leasing, and financing, as well as estate planning and probate-related asset transfers. Debra also has substantial experience in business law, including corporate stock acquisitions and sales, organizing various corporate entities, buy-sell agreements, and reorganizations.

Graduating cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, Jacob has over a decade of experience in drafting and prosecuting both U.S. and foreign patent applications, preparing opinions, and counseling both small and large clients on a range of strategic intellectual property issues. In particular, Jacob has acquired expertise in the preparation of patent strategy for start-up and established companies, academic institutions, and solitary inventors, including the construction and evaluation of patent portfolios, and the establishment of validity/infringement opinions. Jacob brings enthusiasm and creativity to his practice, which has included experience with pharmaceuticals, small molecules, and biotech related inventions, as well as instrumentation, devices, business methods, and life cycle management considerations (both patent and FDA related).
