Jay M. Pabian
Jay M. Pabian, is a managing partner of Pabian & Russell, LLC, has more than 25 years’ experience as a tax lawyer and certified public accountant. He provides sophisticated yet practical legal and tax advice and representation to his clients. Jay’s areas of concentration include business and employment law, tax law, wills and trusts, estate and wealth preservation planning, asset protection planning, special needs planning, business succession planning, estate and trust administration, and franchise law. His clients consist of high-net worth individuals, senior executives, privately held businesses, law and accounting firms, medical and dental practices, financial service providers, franchisee associations, supply-chain purchasing and distribution entities, and health and non-profit organizations.

Prior to entering private law practice in 1983, Jay was a certified public accountant at KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP, one of the top four CPA firms in the world. Jay is a graduate of Brandeis University and holds a Master’s in Taxation from Boston University School of Law and a Master’s in Business Administration and Accounting from the Graduate School of Professional Accounting at Northeastern University. He has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at New England School of Law and has published an article in the New England Law Journal. Jay has been named in 2009 and 2010 as one of the Top 100 Lawyers in Massachusetts. He has also been named to the 2008, 2009, and 2010 Massachusetts Super Lawyers list by Law & Politics and New England Super Lawyers, a distinction given to only the top 5% of attorneys in Massachusetts.

Jay is admitted to practice before the bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Rhode Island, the First Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court. He is the president of the New England chapter of the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants. Jay serves on the Board of Advisors for the Thompson Island Outward Bound program and the Corporate Council for the American Cancer Society’s Hope Lodge. He has also served as President of the Sharon Rotary Club, as well as president of the New England Region of the Jewish National Fund, and he currently serves on its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Jay is also a member of the American and Boston Bar Associations, the Boston Estate Planning Council, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
