Jay M. Pabian is a managing partner at Pabian & Russell, LLC, with over twenty years of experience as a lawyer and certified public accountant providing sophisticated, yet practical, legal and tax advice and representation to his clients. Jay’s particular areas of concentration include business law, franchise law, tax law, wills and trusts, estate and wealth preservation planning, asset protection planning, business succession planning, and estate and trust administration. His clients consist of high net worth individuals, privately held businesses, law and accounting firms, health and dental practices, financial service providers, franchisee associations, individual franchisees, franchise supply chain purchasing and distribution cooperatives and non-profit organizations. Jay has been named to the 2008 and 2009 Massachusetts Super Lawyers® list by Law & Politics and New England Super Lawyers, a distinction given to only the top 5% of attorneys in Massachusetts. Jay has served as an Adjunct Professor of Law at New England School of Law and has published an article in the New England Law Journal. He has also served as President of the Sharon Rotary Club, as well as President of the New England Region of the Jewish National Fund, and currently serves on its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. Prior to entering private law practice in 1983, Jay was a certified public accountant with KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP, one of the top four CPA firms in the world. Jay is a graduate of Brandeis University and has a Masters in Taxation from Boston University School of Law and a Masters in Business Administration and Accounting from the Graduate School of Professional Accounting at Northeastern University. Jay is admitted to practice before the bars of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the State of Rhode Island, the United States District Court, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Tax Court. He also is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Boston Estate Planning Council, the American Association of Attorney-Certified Public Accountants, and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
