Ethan M. Flaherty is a partner at Pabian & Russell, LLC, concentrating in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, complex commercial contracts, licensing, joint ventures, private placements of securities (angel and venture), lender- and borrower-side loan transactions, trademark and copyright, corporate entity selection and formation, executive employment agreements and compensation, family business succession planning and general business law for privately held companies and emerging growth companies.  Ethan received his Juris Doctor from the Georgetown University Law Center in 1996 and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology from Brown University in 1993. While at Georgetown, Ethan was an executive editor of the Georgetown International Environmental Law Review and a member of the American Inns of Court.  Ethan is a past President and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Brown University Club of Boston.  Prior to joining the firm at its inception in March 2005, Ethan was an associate in the Boston office of Nixon Peabody LLP from 1996 to 2003, and in the Boston office of Keegan Werlin & Pabian, LLP from 2003 to 2005.  Ethan has been named to the Massachusetts Rising Stars list by Law & Politics and New England Super Lawyers® in 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009, a distinction given to only the top 2.5% of up-and-coming attorneys in Massachusetts.  Ethan is admitted to practice before the bar of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.  He also is a member of the Boston Bar Association.
