Sarah M. Allen is a senior associate with Pabian & Russell, LLC, concentrating in a broad range of estate matters including special needs planning, complex trust planning, estate tax planning, will contests, estate administration, trust/trustee disputes, guardianships, conservatorships, and prenuptial agreements. Prior to joining the firm, Sarah was an associate at Taylor, Ganson & Perrin, LLP, in Boston from 2008 through 2010. From 2004 to 2008 she was an associate and head of the estate planning department at Clark, Hunt & Embry, in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Sarah has a background in insurance defense litigation, having worked from 2002 to 2004 at The Law Offices of Kaufmann & Durant, an in-house law firm of Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. Sarah earned her Juris Doctor from Boston University School of Law, where she served as editor of the Journal of Science and Technology Law. She also received a Bachelor of Science degree in broadcast journalism, summa cum laude, from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University. Sarah is currently pursuing an LL.M. in Taxation from Boston University School of Law. In 2009 and 2011, Sarah was named to the Massachusetts Rising Stars list by New England Super Lawyers, a distinction limited to the top 2.5 percent of attorneys in Massachusetts. She serves as a lecturer for Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education (MCLE). Sarah is the Chair of the Women's Initiative Committee for the Boston Estate Planning Council and serves as a committee member for The Boston Foundation’s Professional Advisors Network. She is also a member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, the Massachusetts Bar Association and the Trusts & Estates Consortium. Sarah is admitted to practice in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
